This charming single family home has been thoughtfully updated and modernized. Tiled steps lead you to the welcoming entry. The bright, open plan seamlessly blends living, dining, and kitchen in an ideal layout. The foyer brings you into the light-filled living area, with built-in shelving, bamboo flooring – all bathed in sunshine from multiple windows and solar tubes. The dining area is adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen, which boasts two sinks, ample storage, and stainless steel appliances. Behind the kitchen, an office offers direct access to the deck and landscaped backyard. The large front bedroom has a walk-in-closet and a window seat nestled into the bay window. The rear bedroom is ideal for guests or children; the bedrooms share the remodeled hall bath with a soaking tub. On the lower level is an additional room and bath, offering true flexibility.

The large, landscaped yard includes a spacious deck as well as a stone patio space making it ideal for barbecues and outdoor dining. Laundry hook ups and a full bath are conveniently located at the rear of the home. A two car garage completes the lower level. Convenient access to Balboa BART, MUNI, City College, and 280, makes commuting a breeze.

Neighborhood Gallery

46 Caine Avenue

Merced Heights is located in the southwestern part of the City and is well known for its hills. Touring through this neighborhood, you're sure to spot plenty of SFSU students notable for their backpacks and book packs. Great views abound thanks to the hilly terrain. It is an emerging area and considered to be a wise investment for the longer-termed buyers.

Perched between Ingleside (east) and Stonestown (west), Merced Heights is a relatively small enclave, and the neighboring districts fill in the gap for shops and restaurants. Two public parks, Merced Heights Playground and Brooks Park, located on Shields Avenue, call Merced Heights their home.

Another worthwhile spot is the Shields Orizaba Rocky Outcrop, an ideal spot to watch the sunset and commune with nature right in the middle of San Francisco, but only if you're willing to make a bit of an uphill trek. While Merced Heights is primarily residential, its close proximity to amenities and easy access keep it among the more desirable locations.
